As he was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen.

He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.” At once they left their nets and followed him.

Mt 4, 18-20

Jesus is still calling us. Whoever takes Christ’s path finds life in abundance, putting yourself to God’s disposal and his Kingdom. Jesus says: “He who deems me home, brothers or sisters, father or mother, children or lands, will receive more, and inherit eternal life” (Mt 19,29). The deep root of all this is love.

We should not be afraid to come out of ourselves and take Jesus’ path. The Gospel is the Word that liberates, transforms and makes our life more beautiful. How delightful it is to be surprised by God’s calling, to embrague  his words, yo use Jesus’ footprints to cuide oír steps, in the worship of the divine mystery and in the generous surrender to the brothers! Our life will be richer and more joyful each day.

Virgin Mary, model of all consecrated life, was not afraid to say her “fiat” to our Lord’s calling. She is now our company and guide in following Christ.
